VERY IMPORTANT SITE RULES
This is a Boy Scout Camp. They are super cool folks but they have some firm rules.
1. This site is very very very discretely dry. ABSOLUTELY no original containers. At revel, everything will be poured into a cup or glass, no exceptions.
2. Everyone who wishes to drink at revel will be carded. Please bring your ID.
3. Parking only at designated spots except for loading/unloading. More information will be available at troll.
4. Dogs are welcome with proof of rabies, but you must be vigilant about picking up after them. We don’t want any boy scouts stepping in poo!
5. No photos taken showing alcohol or smoking (including vapes). There is concern that the site may be automatically connected to the location of the photo.
This event is held and managed by The Barony of South Downs, a region/branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. and is considered the official presence of this group here. Questions regarding its content should be directed to seneschal@atlantasca.org or to socialmedia@sca.org. Any discrepancies between the electronic version or any information and the printed version that is available from the originating office will be decided in favor of the printed version.

Poetry
I, Calliope, the Muse of Epic poetry, am holding a poetry competition inspired by poets of ancient Greece. The winner will receive a prize worthy of their talents and the winning poem will be performed for all to hear during the festivities.
How the poems will be judged:
- Creativity: How creative is your poem?
- Do you follow the structure used by ancient Grecian poets?
- Invoke a Muse, God, or Goddess (Religious origin unimportant)
- Talk about a subject in a creative way using a unifying theme.
- How does this subject either reflect or impact humanity or the human condition?
As this will be performed for the populace please ensure any explicit content is subtle.
In ancient times, some poets would set their works to music. If you are musically inclined, extra points will be added if you either turn your poem into a song, or there are rules to turn your poem into what I believe you modern humans call a rap.
The winner will be chosen on April 6th 2019, at the Coronation of Sebastianos and Morgan. Entries may be turned in to me at the Courtesan’s Salon at the event or submitted by the Friday before. All entries must be submitted by April 6th at 2:00 pm to be considered.
Please contact Cellach ingen Oengusa for more information.
Archery
Be it known that the Queen’s Yeoman tournament will be held at Spring Coronation. It will begin immediately following morning court at approximately 1:00 P.M.
The format is a modified ring shoot using three arrows per round. Grab your bow and come out to compete for the honor of being Her (soon-to-be) Majesty Morgan’s Yeoman!
Range setup will be before the morning courts begin, if anyone is inclined to help.
~1pm (immediately following morning courts) | Queen’s Yeoman Tourney |
~2pm (once the QY Tourney is complete) | Range Open for Royal Rounds (upon request) & Constellation Fun Shoots* |
4:30pm | Range closed; teardown |
*Information on Constellation Fun Shoots definitely kept vague to add an air of mystery.
